The Anticipation Letters No.7 – The Rich Layers of Time
This Sunday I felt like writing something connected to last weeks focus on creative rituals. If we’re as creatives pay more attention to concept(s) of time rather than static functions and results only, it will unlock layers of conscious creation, quality, collaboration, beauty and joy! This explores No.6 of the Entière 10 Principles for Holistic Design – Relate to Time.

The Anticipation Letters No.3 – To Reconnect to the Earth
The third edition of a new Sunday ritual, A more personal and intuitive letter on design, life, work, creating anticipation for the week ahead. This week we continue to define and come back to our values, and look into my 7h guiding principle – “Re-connect to the Earth” – and how it led me to explore my love for Pine Trees in a holistic way.
The Anticipation Letters No.2 – The Importance of Values
First of all, thank you for the uplifting response I received for this new Sunday ritual. A more personal and intuitive reflection on design, life, work. I want it to be a calm and inspiring moment to write and read this, to create space, a dedication to focus on where I want to go, to let anticipation arise.
The Anticipation Letters No.1 – A New Sunday Ritual
This is the premiere of a series of letters to you, collaborators, fellow creatives, clients and likeminded people who wish to find ways to look more positively on the week ahead and the future at large. Who no longer want to be demotivated by the current state of the world at large today. Who want to be change agents, stand for something, and well, take part in however small and seemingly insignificant ways. Let’s get out of the flight or freeze mode we sometimes find ourselves in and create something good. I’ve come to the conclusion that I need more positive things to get me going. To remember what values I respect, what kind of world I like to see and fight for, and what inspires me and a focus on the aspects I want to fill the word ’design’ with.
Looking back to look ahead
For the past few years, I’ve sent this letter to my studio friends (you) in the beginning of the new year rather than as a Christmas greeting. It’s really helpful to look back a bit to start looking forward and set the intentions for next year. I’ll share some highlights and add a few miscellaneous tips from my best of the year list at the end!

Design Coherently
Issue 5 of the Holistic Design Journal – No.4: Design Coherently
Coherence – an essential quality in design – and in life
Designing coherence is a quest to create in a way so that all design choices in an object (or even more in a collection) or in a space, i.e. colour, shape, scale, material qualities and tonality all make sense together, as a concept and as a unified whole. That, to me, is an absolutely essential aspect of our work as designer.
Manifest Aesthetically
When inviting to the usefulness of your objects and spaces, do it in an aesthetically inspiring way!
